As an adornment, the Toki, or Adze, is said to bring courage and strength in times of adversity. The toki is often worn by Maori elders as a symbol of power, wisdom and authority.
Maori believe that carvings carry the spirit of those who wear them, becoming an important family Taonga (treasure) passed on to future generations of the family as an heirloom.
This pendant is delivered to you with Express Courier and will have a 'Kia Ora' card which will provide you with a little bit of information on both the Toki/Adze design and its meaning.
